I am heading to Wateree this saturday....any advice? any good location? Is catfishing good at Beaver Creek at this time of year? Where can I find Shad near the Beaver Creek Boat ramp (the one behind the Wateree Marina)?

    thanks

There has been some pretty fair catches going on down that way towards Beaver Creek, fished that area this past Saturday and the river channel out in front of Beaver Creek is slam full of bait, was a bunch of good fish caught last week with some coming up in the river and alot coming from the mouths of the upper big creeks[Dutchman and Taylor],this cold snap may have effected the bite somewhat but you still should be able to get on some good fish by the weekend.
Bait has been tough to catch lately with it moved out to deeper water, you can always catch you some white perch if you wanna go that route:wink:

Try the upper end of the lake from wateree creek up to cedar creek dam area. Especially if they are runnning water out of stumpy pond.
