My dad, my brother, and I went to wateree creek and we got bait easy this time. We got lots of good size shads, breams, shriners, white bass and a crappie. We even got a 6lb carp in our cast net. We got these baits near grass beds.

We went to the mouth of wateree creek...4ft deep...water temp was 68 to 70....start fishing around 5:45pm....we use shad and crappie filets as bait...15 minutes later, we caught about 4 of 8-10lb blues...3 of them liked crappie filets and one on shad... I tried live shriner on mine and 5 mins later the rod bended like crazy, there was a monster on it but when i reel it in it disconnected somehow. Anyway when it got darker, we got so many bites.. 15 minutes before we decided to leave, my brother got a 30lb blue.. we end up with 12 blues and 1 channel. 10 of them went after crappie filets...

We got our dad hooked to the sport of catfishing....
