Will i wouldn't throw them out just yet. Seems that during certain months of the yr (mostly summer) that the Mercury content is higher in certain fish. Sometimes they warn people from eating them so often, or maybe not at all. Check it out before you waste those fish. I even have a friend that eats everything he catches, off Wylie and Wateree and been doing it for yrs. No effects on him, yet

We have had PCB warnings on Hartwell as long as I can remember. A marine biologist at Clemson ensured me that as long as you were eating juvenile fish (less than 3 lbs) you would see no affects. Personally I don't care for eating a cat much bigger than 2 lbs. I have been eating fish out of there all my life with no problems. Don't know if this helps, but it's the info I was given.
