I took my 10 yr. old nephew and his cousin today to go after some perch. We didn't use anything other than jigging/casting spoons (Kastmasters, I think), and caught around 65 perch, 1 channel, 1 nice white bass, and several largemouths. They had a lot of fun, and I did, too. I can't wait for my soon-to-be first son to be old enough to go with me.

    Later,
    John

Hey John , that sounds like a lot of fun. I bet those boys are ready to go back. I wish that there were more white bass in the lake, they are hard to come by these days.

    Chris,

From Jacob's Creek to above Mountain Creek, I never saw any bait come up, and never marked anything that looked like a good bait ball. Everytime I marked something that looked like bait, it was perch. Or it was possibly bait balls of the small shad born this year, and the perch were in there wearing them out.
