If anyone in the near future is having trouble locating shad at Texoma there are thousands stranded in oil creek. Not as big as would like but decent 4 inch threadfin. Caught days worth in two throws.

Its on the western shore probably half to three quarters of a mile north of the north island. When the water was up it was adjacent to the lake now it's separated by a small sandbar. Man those shad are just bottle necked in the front of that thing tryin to get back to the main lake. It narrows into a tiny stream approaching the lake bout 8 inches deep and they were stacked in there. Caught a few decent gizzards as well. There are some ponds created by the high water on the islands as well and could see tail flips all over the place. Hope that helps
