Well, I figured after the big rain that the fishing would be good. So, after hauling in right at 100 fish the previous 2 weekends, my dad decided he'd come along. The three of us headed out through Edgewood up to Holiday Marina. We could see that the water was rough but had no idea how rought it really was. I bet the swells were 2-3 fee high or better. We made it to the rocks off the dam, but decided we would turn back and trailer the boat when the anchor didn't hold. By the time we made it back to the marina we were all three soaked. Unfortunately, we didn't catch a mess of fish Saturday. I told my 7 year old that that's fishing. We'll make up for it the next time. I was amazed to see the sandbar at Holiday marina almost submerged. The weekend before there were folks driving out on it to fish from the bank. Not this weekend. I wonder if it's completely submerged by now?? Anyway, we learned a valuable lesson. Tawakoni will chew you up and spit you out if your not careful.
