Lake Springfield- any tips?

    I was wondering if anyone has ever done any good at lake springfield? If not there then any other spots in the area to bank fish?

    little chanel cats is all i ever caught there. truman dam is a hour and a half north on 65 its well worth the drive good luck

    Try fishing the power plant discharge, use 2 " chunks of spam on a #8 circle hook with a 1/2 oz egg sinker right next to the hook have had good luck there catching channel cats.

    Thank you for your posts. I have been wanting to go catting here in Springfield for some time now, but have just never got the poles out and gone.

    When you fish a live perch/bluegill with a pole, do you use a large bobber/float or use a weight and hook?
