So it looks like I'm going to Lake Shelbyville this weekend. Yeah I know I'll bet I'm the only one there  (its the mother in-laws plan). I figure if I'm there I might as well try to fish it. I read a post from Redtick about the area north of Bruce and kaskasia inlet. Any other places to try? we will be around sullivan. How is the lake I heard it was really low?

    thanks

Hey Kris. Right now the cats are moving up into the rip rap to spawn. The bait of choice that I have heard are fresh shrimp. Also most any prepared baits and cut shad if you have a net. Look for bridges and most any rip rap and you should find fish.
    Hope this helps.

the lake was really low the weekend before last. we found the sandbar in the middle of the lake. (at 40 mph) good news is, my transom is solid! lol, there's no paint on the fin on my lower unit now. we're getting rain now so it should be back up soon.
