I want to go to Lake Ozark next Sat and try to catch some Blues. I have been snagging there but never after catfish. I have frozen shad, bluegills and shiners in the freezer. Would I be better off at Warsaw or down at the 66 mile marker? I assume I try to find Shad schools around the edges of the old channel and try to fish below them. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks:big_smile:

Either would be fine, depends if they are running any water or not. Look on channel ledges, the fish should start stacking up there. Also, frozen shad can catch fish but its really best to use some fresh bait if you can. I would bring the frozen stuff for a back-up plan but try and catch some when you get there. Chris

Shad is easy to come by in drakes harbor, during the day they are more concentrated out torward the no wake bouys and toward sundown they are in the back of the cove.
