Hello where is Black River located i live near Black Creek, in Voliny, New York?

Watertown, NY. I've fished the St Lawrence River in Alexandria Bay too. Good channel cats in both but I primarily fished the black river. Cut suckers are best for me. I catch a bunch during the spawn and freeze them. They'll go in creeks and the dam. Creek chubs cut and live was my second best and then sunfish. I caught a lot on shrimp as well. Biggest was 23lbs but plenty bigger as well as a few 30s were caught when I lived there. In fact the past 4 state records have been from the black river and it was just broken again last week at 35lbs 12oz

If you decide to venture out to Dexter to fish the black river let me know. I know you're not an amateur but I offer any advice to save you some time. Ie tackle, locations, places to catch bait, etc
