long time member from arizona staying in the Niagara area for about the next 10 days looking for some help. Took a drive along the lake and i just know it is full of catfish. It seems like any lake famous for other fish like bass or salmon is usually underfished for catfish. am i wrong? how about anywhere near there? any help greatly appreciated.

    thanks a lot

    Marc,
I catch some great cats in the central New York tributaries(Oswego River & Salmon river) up the first barrier. Usually anywhere I go for salmon or big trout hold high numbers of cats as well (in the summer months). Never caught one in the lake propper other in "the bubble" near ninemile Nuke plant, won't let us in there since 9/11.
