Lake Norman Perch Report

    I found that the perch had moved from the 30 to 42 feet of water to the 20 to 24 foot level. The only reason I can see why they did this is that the deeper water has a surface temp. of 54 degrees and the shallower waters it is 57 plus, plus some of the bait had moved. In two hours +- I caught 33 this morning, most of them on the Sabiki Rig without any small pieces of worm. Again, I caught a bunch of them weighing in at a tad over a pound. The perch are now located at the end of Little Creek close to the long point and the water intake.

    You should have the bait freezer and dinner plate loaded for the next little bit with that outing! Those are some fun little fish to catch there.
