I had my heart set on going up river and catching me a nice flathead, but the fog stopped me short. So, I fished below the hot hole in 57 degree water and worked my way up to 60 degree water. When I reach 59.5 degree water I started catching blues and flatheads on number 30 shiners. Wind was 2 to 3 MPH when I started and got up to 12+ MPH before I finished.

April Fools Day was a good day to fish. Sadly, my day was cut down to 50 minutes on the water by a phone call to do a video shoot in Asheville at the last minute.

    Good report LakeNormanBlues!!
