lake norman 8/21/08

    Some times you need lady luck! Have not fished since mid July due to my "do" list that my helper makes out for me. Anyway, went fishing yesterday afternoon above 150. Put baits in the water about 6:00 pm and caught the fish below at 7:30. Started at the state park but had no luck and moved to teripen creek. Caught 6 fish on cut shad fishing down the side of a point that the top was 9 ft deep and the bottom was 27 ft. The point was covered with bait fish. The fish I caught were in approx 15-20 ft of water. Did not weigh fish but it may be close to my pb blue cat. Biggest blue this year.

    I release ALL cats that are bigger than table size. (5-6 lbs) If everyone does that maybe lake norman will produce the next "barbie" record, sorry I mean state record.

    Thats a good'un Bill. Thanks for giving someone else a chance to catch him! Thats a good striper hole in the winter too. :wink:
