lake nasworthy

    does anyone know if there are still redfish in lake nasworthy.

    They haven't stocked redfish in Nashworthy since they shut down the power plant, 4 yrs ago, I think. There has not been a cold spell that killed them out, so there are still some. The last week report from P&W said they were fair. I talked to a biologist that said their last fall net counts showed that Nasworthy had a real good channel cat population. If you bring a boat, they sunk 5 piles of Christmas tree, 2 yrs ago. The GPS locations were on their website.

    thanks. i am gonna try tomorrow morning and see if we can catch any. i met two guys that catch a few crappie and will try for them next week. i am gonna hunt this weekend in sonora.

    It is in San Angelo, kind of shallow lake in town. They keep it full out of Twin Buttes Lake.
