I've heard talk about Army Corp of Engineers wanting to lower Lake Moultrie 3 more feet to do some work on the dam. Has anyone heard about this?

I talked to a fellow that works at the cross generation plant and he said absolutlly not cause they are only being able to draw a minimul flow now and they would never risk not having enough water. He said if the were to do something the would wait until it came back up to full pool and draw it down so they would be no problem keepping up with the water demand.

There is some work being done on the dam in some areas, but I'm pretty sure it is just to take advantage of the low water conditions. Santee Cooper would love to see some water coming into the lakes right now. I can't envision them intentionally lowering it any more than it already is.
