Lake Monticello 9-1

    went out for a few hours early this morning got 9 total the biggest was 23# and then 12# 10# 8# 8# and the rest were 1-5#s. Weather was really pleasant this morning and we were out of there by 10:30.Good Trip.

    thanks for the report , like i said on Big Cats post, since it has cooled off some I think I will try talking the wife or kids into a trip over there next weekend . I really love catching those bigguns & it doesnt take but 1-2 to have enough for a huge fish fry !

    Yeah I like the fish frys but I only keep the 1-5 pounders I release all my larger fish.

    Way to go Beaufort! Looks like you had good day also. Your day went a little better than mine. It took us 10 hrs to catch all of our fish.

    We only keep the 1 - 3 pounders for eating. We let the big ones go to fight another day.
