Fished Monticello Saturday evening with my wife and we had a great time. It was real crowded being Memorial weekend and all, but still not bad. Real crowded on Monticello means the closest boat is still about a 1/4 of a mile away from you. We trolled a while and only caught 3. So we anchored in around 20' and casted to around 50 or 60' with pretty good success. Fished both ends of the lake. The bite was equally good on both ends. Caught all blues except 2 channels. We were after eaters and that's what we got. All fish kept were between 2 and 5 lbs. Perfect eaters in my oppinion. I didn't count but it was around 25 fish kept. Full cooler. Used cut shad for bait.
