Finally got back to big Mon today.Beutiful day, light winds which made anchoring easy.We only caught 5 fish three where in the 2 to 10 lb range. One was 32 lbs and one was a little bigger, heres the pictures of the two biggest, guess the weight of the big one.Bruce from the site went with me and I think hes startin to like this catfishin thing:lol: .All where caught on white perch and gizzard shad from 50 to 75 foot of water.I didnt think I was ever gone get that fish in.

Thanks for the info . Chris have you ever tried cut chunks of river carp on Monticello sometimes it works real well for me. We catch the carp in Parr then bring them over to Monticello in chunks.

I'm thinking about going down and sleeping on the boat soon. I need to fish some big fish at Monticello so fishing through the night and half the next day should do the trick.

Congrats on the fish Chris, you luck .......

Winner! It was just over 46 lbs. I like Marty and Roundhills guess though at 56 and 58(I wish). It was a big male and its head made it look alot bigger than what it really was. When it first surfaced we where guessing at least 55 but he was slender.I've caught fish bigger but never caught one with the will power that fish had, he just wouldnt stop.If it had of got off I would have thought it was alot bigger. We got pictures burped him and he gave me a thank you slap and went back down.

No but we had some chunks of big suckers and the nibblers would eat all the good stuff off before a big one could even get to it.Those little fish will drive you nuts in there.
