I was told by the dude who runs Wayzata Bait and Tackle that about 75 years ago there was a trainload of fish headed west to feed miners or railroad workers... it got west as far as Lake Minnetonka before the engine broke down and to save the fish they were all tossed into the lake. They found habitat and started breeding and now there are sturgeon and very large cats to be found over there.

My question is this: Has anyone ever gone after them and, if so, what sort of success have you met with? I'm looking to try it over there and if I find anything I'll let y'all know.
