Started fishing around 7:00 in the morning. Took a church member with his 8 year old. We let him reel in all of the fish. He kinda had a rough start with the first two getting off by letting slack in the line, but after that he did great. Drifted threadfin shad around the flats. We caught all the fish before 11:30...after the wind shifted from NE to SE the fish totally shut off for us. Fished until 2:30 without another bite. Big fish was 18lbs with the smallest a 1lb mudcat. He was no match for the Tiger Rod and 6500c...still not for sure how he got the hook in his mouth. His son would cut the shad for us every time we needed to rebait. Nothing like making lifelong memories. I got all of his catches on video. All fish were released for another day. Had a great day.

Making memories for the adults and the kids, that is great. I can't wait to get back to Santee.:smile2:
