Lake Marion 1-1-10

    It was great being on the lake for the first of the year. wind NE, water temp 46 and muddy, drifted threadfin shad, only had 5 bites and caught 2. Big fish 31 and the other 7. The bite was really soft, they just didn't want the bait. We marked a ton of baitfish and fish, just were not active for us. Went to take a picture of the big one, to find out my battery was low. Will try again. At least I can say I have fished every day this year.

    I decided not to go because of the forecast for being windy. I guess I goofed! LOL

    I got lucky, the wind really was not that bad. Seemed to be around 5mph.

    Great catch Kelly. We went to Wateree and ended up with 4. They are biting real slow

    Any time you catch a 30lber it's a good trip in my book!
