I'm planning a family RV outing at Livingston (probably) in early October. Be me and Faye, and our three married children with spouses and kids from 8 months to 10 years.

Does anyone have suggestions for the best catfishing area that time of year? I'm thinking of Bethy Creek Resort in the upper end of the Lake.
Hope to tow our old aluminum boat so we can jug and trotline a little, but may be confined to bank fishing if we can't.

    All suggestions would be appreciated.

check into carolina cove marina. it is in the same area and the fishing is pretty good close to there. i will be at white rock creek in sept so check in around then and i will let you know how good the fishing is.

about .5 miles south of pine island is a huge hump where the water goes from 50 feet to 23 feet and set a trotline right at that rise

Thank you all for the info. We'll be doing a family reunion type get together for Faye and my immediate family - 3 married with 5 grandkids and two more unmarrieds.
We are newly made Empty-nesters; our last starting college this Fall. He's already gone. (We replaced him with a Chocolate Lab pup).

Thanks again, and I'll be checking with tufffish late Sept.

    Now, where's Pine Island???......
