lets use this one for hartwell stuff now.
We've removed many posts in the past few days from this section. The original "Lake Hartwell" thread was removed because it was primarily being used for discussions about tournaments. Tournaments are covered pretty clearly in the rules as I've copied them below. The reasons we're removing posts that question why these threads have been repeatedly removed is covered in Rule 10 below as well. If you really want to discuss tournaments on the BOC, then follow the directions below and do it in accordance with the rules. It's free and you'll have a place to post about this subject as much as you want. And you might find yourself gaining a few new tournament participants too. But we will keep on pulling posts that don't follow the rules below everytime they're made. If you do have a problem with this, use the Trouble Ticket system to air your grievances. Then you'll get answers in a straight forward manner.
10. Making Posts
The BOC is not responsible for any material posted on the BOC message board. As a BOC member you agree not to upload, transmit, distribute or otherwise publish on the BOC Materials which are:
Libelous, defamatory, obscene, abusive, pornographic, threatening, or an invasion of privacy; an infringement of the intellectual property rights, including, but not limited to, copyrights and trademarks, of any person or entity; illegal in any way or which advocates illegal activity; an advertisement or solicitation of funds, goods, or services.
Posts or threads asking questions, making comments or suggestions to BOC staff members will be removed. These questions/comments/suggestions on board policy must be submitted via the "trouble ticket" system.
The BOC does not and cannot review or monitor every posting made on the message board, and is not responsible as such for the content of such postings. However, the BOC reserves the right at all times to disclose any information necessary in its sole discretion to satisfy any law, regulation or governmental request, or to edit, refuse to post or remove any information or materials, in whole or in part, that in the BOC's opinion are objectionable or in violation of these terms and conditions. The BOC reserves the right to revoke your membership to the BOC forum and/or to disable your ability to post for any reason or for no reason whatsoever at any time.
19. BOC Tournament Section Rules
The BOC supports its Partners in Catfishing and only those tournaments that take part in this program will be permitted to discuss results, schedules, etc. Discussion of tournaments that are not in the Partners in Catfishing program will not be allowed. If your tournament would like to be included, please contact Paul (Catfish_Commando) via PM.

Thanks Whistler I'll PM Commando and get the scoop. Didn't mean to do any wrong. No harm no foul.

QUOTE=stuckinthehole3;579886]which section of the lake do u think is the best for catfish?[/QUOTE]
its really a toss up as to which part of the lake is better. the seneca river arm prob. gets more catfishing pressure the tugaloo arm has had some big cats come out of it i saw pics from 2 this winter one a 60 something flattie and a 50 something blue that were caught while striper fishing. I have been wanting to try the big water in front of the dam but havent found the time to do any fishing. big and little beaver creeks have some good catfishing but not sure where you can fish from the bank.
thanks i do have a jon boat at home that i might be able to get up here. ill give some of those a try. what type of hooks do u use?
I live right here at 6 and 20 creek and fished it for a good 2 years before I started fishing the seneca creek arm, its like night and day for me, much better success around the clemson and twin lakes area. All I have ever caught around the house besides a 35 lb flathead is small channels not one blue. I did manage to catch one more flathead around 15 lbs. I use to work with a guy whos dad use to use baskets near the back of the creek around here and in one fall and winter he caught almost 2000 lbs of fish, all channels, Its kinda strange? I use 8/0 octopus circles and 7/0 and 8/0 king kahles.
Everybody will give you a different answer on that one bro. I use circle hooks on cut bait and live bait hooks for live bait. I've used them all and just perfer circles
AAAAAAHHH Grasshopper, you know where there's one there's many, many more:misdoubt:
any body fishing this weekend?
those are some large hooks. im kindof new to catfishing. mostly done bass fishing in GA. wut other tackle do you use? i might be able to get out this weekend. im not sure yet.
Same here, I hope we didn't make you move from your hole Brad.
I use mainly 7/0 or 8/0 j hooks or kahle hooks mostly but most of my rods now have 8/0 circle hooks on them been trying them out for a bit but havent decided which i like better. I am working sat may try to catch a few stripers up tugaloo sun if nothing comes up.
No, you were fine Jason, i was ready to move, I was trying to chase down the wind, lol!
Brad I may hunt a crappie Saturday. I've been turning up the crossbow, getting ready for the big'uns. Light tackle is a waste of time with these monstas.:sure:
