going to fish lake greenwood in about a month. Can anybody offer some advice to shrink the lake. Also, where are some good places to net bait. Do I need permit to catch bait on Greenwood? thanks for the help.

You dont need a permit to use a thrownet to catch bait.White perch fillets work really good too you can catch them just about anywhere. In another month the channels will still be in the upper parts the reedy and saluda rivers and where the two arms meet.Use drift rigs anchoring catches a few but not as effective.10 to 20 foot of water this lake is full of big channels. When I say big I'm talking some days you can catch numerous fish around 12 to 15 lbs and this time of the year is the best.

But you can't use White Perch caught in a cast net because its a game fish and thats illegal.
