Just go this from a friend. This picture was taken by a KTBS helicopter flying over Lake Conroe in Conroe, Texas

I do not fish that lake but just about every lake in TX has gators in them. Most are midsized gators but some get rather large.

We do not worry about them much here there since only like 15 people have been attached by gators in TX since 1948.

However, that is one cool pic.

Way I see it, the things have to eat to live. Truly remarkable creatures.

Conroe is my favorite lake to fish. I also hunt there.

Dang big gator, must of gotten that big from all the stink bait them jug liners use fishing there. I think I'll stay off the beach and watch my jug fishing pull ups more closely. If not I may have to change my online name to Captain Hook. which might help land more cats.

Looked like an 11-12 footer, plenty of those on Sheldon Resevoir. Last summer, saw 8 or 'em 10 ft and larger (may boat is 10', they were all as long or longer) in and area less than 150 feet sunning themselves on hydrilla mats. They don't bother you, and can be fun to watch. BTW, that deer was most likely already dead, gators are opportunistic feeders.
