A buddy of mine and I went to Chickamauga today for some blue cat catching and we flat tore them up. Conservatively estimating that we caught somewhere near 200 pounds of fish. Released three bigger fish 15-1/2,18-/12 and a 21 pounder. Did not catch anything under 6 pounds drifting cut skipjack and chicken thigh meat. 35 to 55 feet of water near the channel ledge.
Oh and we started near 7 am and had the boat on the trailer before noon.

The blues around here are coming off the spawning beds and are hungry. I'll be back after them this weekend.

Welcome to the BOC Rantoole. What part of TN are you from?

If I run into you I will be going slow. Do you have a guide trip planned?
We will be there at the crack of dawn. DK needs some fish and I'm going to try and help him out.

Don't you glow in the dark after eating those fish there? Thought they were on the bad list. LOL

Pete there are no eating restrictions on any fish in Chickamauga Lake. It is one of the cleanest lakes in Tennessee. We eat a lot of blues from there and it is some of the best fish I have ever had.:tounge_out:
