This lake is located in McCurtain County, 9 miles NNE of Broken Bow, OK.
It has 14,200 surface acres and 180 miles of shoreline. It was formed
by the damming of the Mountain Fork of the Little River and has a chain
of islands that once were mountaintops. The lake's crystal clear waters
provide one of the best year-round fishing sports in Oklahoma. Fish
species include largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, sand bass, crappie,
channel catfish, flathead catfish, and various species of sunfish.
Trout fishing is available year-round in the lake's tailwaters.
