Been catching blue and channels all winter and most of the spring. I am looking for a few suggestions on where i can catch a flat or two.

Sounds like some good fishing, The flats will require you to move to an area with deep structure and put some good bluegills on the end of your line. The flats will be in there.

    Bank or Boat?
Boat: all around Rattlesnake Island, there is plenty of deep cover and gills, but you can also work the shore line on the back side of heneritta bridge. Deer Creek is good, but it is awful stumpy.

Bank: Deer creek is a good choice, not too deep but a nice drop off from the bank to about 3-5 foot of water, with lots of cover nice place to place a bed if you ask me.
