Was planning on hitting river again saturday. With all this rain and storms did it raise river much?
Water is about normal level at Clays Ferry right now .
water is little muddy. should be good catfishing around logs and rocks.
We went saturday night and put in at the park.WE caught 7 flats with the biggest at 18 pounds.
Steve, go here: http://waterdata.usgs.gov/ky/nwis/rt and you should find a gauge station somewhere near you. You can even build a group of stations.
This is an example of a group that I built and use: http://waterdata.usgs.gov/ky/nwis/c...multiple_site_no,realtime_parameter_selection
Ty Larry for the info.
I just checked the gauge @ Lock 11; the river has raised approximately a foot since I baited the trotline yesterday. That would usually be a good thing, but with the drop in air temp and the cold rain,,,,,i don't know. I'll see in a couple hours.
Bummer any bare hooks even?
Maybe a handful of bare hooks. I've been baiting with live baitfish (about 15 hooks) and filling iw/garlic cured liver and dough balls in between Over five days i've caught two flats and two channels.. R&R catfishermen not catching either. Another trotliner has quit fishing till next week. Catfish have lockjaw here.
