I know Jay shot his deer but did any of you other KS deer hunters shoot anything. I never even seen a dead one on the side of the highway. I might have jumped out and tagged it, thats how pittiful the season was for everybody up here this year. Lets see some pics if anybody got em'

I have been bow hunting since the open of the season and still haven't shot one. I've had several young spike bucks walk right under me, but I let them walk. I've put in quite a bit of time in the stands though. September I hunted mostly on the weekends. In November I hunted at least 4 days a week every week. I only hunted 2 days during rifle season. And I've been out a day or two this week. I always like to stay in my stand until its all the way dark and I've had a lot of deer under me after dark. Lots of deer out where I've been hunting, but its public ground and they are VERY nocturnal. There are a ton of quail hunters out there (only in Kansas:angry:) so I think that has turned them nocturnal. Its pretty frustrating, but I'm going to visit the family out in eastern Kansas tomorrow and will be hunting 4 or 5 more days this year on some private ground that the family has access to. Its kind of my last chance and you can bet that the first doe within 35 yards I'm lettin one fly. Still, I'm wondering if I'm going to get one this season:embarassed:.

Looks like he shot it in the back of the head from above as it was looking
away from him. Rolled head over heels and broke off the right antler on
one flip or another. Doubt if the critter even felt the ground. Good shot.
