Konawa Lake

    Going next weekend...any tips would be appreciated.

    Mike, take a cast net and get your shad either at the boat ramp/dock, or in one of the coves.

    should be a ton of channels on the bottom in 6 to 10 feet of water. i always have success on cut shad...as long as i can net them. good luck!

    Try drifting the Dam area had good luck that way. If that dont pan out, anchor at either end.

    From my experience on lake Konawa, it is full of channel cats but their usually not very big, and I have caught an occasional flathead, for me it's no longer worth the drive from the city.

    I live near Konawa. I will be there this Sunday. I wont be fishing this time, Im taking my kids swiming. If you dont have any luck come tie up and I will pull you around on my tube,lol.

    I haven't fished out there in a few weeks. Went out on the seadoo last weekend and my fish finder read the water at 92 degrees. I'd bet the inlet would be the best place to fish.
