Been usein a cinch knot. It will work fine on the big line. Just make sure ya moisten it before ya cinch it up. Good old spit will do it. LOL!

I use the Palomar knot on 50 pound leaders.
For the more adventurous the Bimini Twist would be the best knot in my opinion.

:0a27: for mono thats the best one I've used. I'll use the double uni knot on braid but it flattens out mono and usually breaks after a while, but is a good knot as long as you retie often.

Fishbrew, I use the same. Palomar most of the time but a Trilene wen I have to like when I just need to replace a leader. I used 30lb- 50lb line.

Four turn uni knot or polamar both quick and easy, bimini twist will take more time but will hold to beyond the straight line break strength of the line.

Palomar for the swivel, and a uni knot for the hook... might even try a loop knot for more hook movement on live bait.

I like to use the Uni-snell for my hooks and a palomar for the two ends of the swivel. Both easy to tie in the dark with a little practice.
