the east side is huge shallow flats with lots of 20 to 35 foot of water ,, the west side has the channel with 60 foot plus deep water close to the island then a good mix of shallow and deep water all the way to hoggels creek .

truman is full of blue cats and can catch them just about anywhere even in the coves . just like any lake ya have to follow there patterns and water depths threw out the year .

shallow water spring and summer 2 ft - 30ft

deeper water fall and winter 25 ft - 60 foot channels

fall shallow water will pay off again at times .

Is that the island that you can see the buoys from the marina? I have to start getting on Truman more and learning it. Thanks Scotty.

Tom, if you come out of the cove at Osage Bluff, KK island is the one right as you leave the main cove. Probably the one your thinking about. Chris

I've drifted it a few times and did pretty well. There are alot of "humps" in front of the island, 15-30 feet changes as you drift over them. Lots of fish stacked up out there, blues, white bass, and hybrids specifically. Chris
