cylinder dead, stuck valve. when I was young and agile I have pulled the cylinder heads of chevys and toyotas. Is this a job I want to save money on? Just pulling and replacing the head---- I have no desire to do any more. Off to the machine shop is all I have time and desire for. Can I do it? will I save money and how much time should I allow for my off and on?
I think of all the time I have kissed a-- when there weren't no fish in that hole!! thanks for your time and effort, G

Hey Kittyhunter, years ago I had a friend that was a very good mechanic. He bought a car from a local dealer that they thought had a hole in a piston. He tookj it home and drained the oil out, then filled it up with STP. He then took it out and drove it wide open for twenty miles. At the end of his drive it would bury the speedo and never had another minute of trouble with it. His wife drove it four years, five days a week, 22 miles a day. Was still running great when they sold it.
