I wanted to know if King Kat rods would work good for up to 20 lb cats. I've got one and only took it out once and cought a 6 lb er, seems to work well, just wanted your guy's opinion.

I have 3 of the King Kat Pro rods. I have had no trouble with them at all.

I only have one, don't see a problem with handling big fish with it.

Thats some nice pics you got there DTro. I think there isnt a question on the rods versatility and endurance now

I got a 9' KK and I cought a 30# blue last year on it. One of the rods I used the most last year.

You think a Abu 6500C3 will work on a nine footer pretty well

I have fished with them and for the price I really like a Power Plus. The KK is a nice rod but for 20 bucks I don't think u can beat a Power Plus, they have great action, very sensitive tips, and the backbone of an ugly stik (actually only 'cheap' rod I would compair to an Ugly Stik). No complaints about the KK, but might wanna check out a Power Plus too!
