well, i went to yellow river last night, for about 5 hours, i went bluegill fishing first got about 20 of them, then hitt the flathead holes, with no luck had one on, but some how he managed to slip the hook, while i was burning time waiting on the flatheads i had a few small pole out with worm balls trying for channel cats, and only landed one hybrid channel blue about 3 lbs and a small blue, kinda discouraged me

I was out last night on the Yellow River too. No luck here either......but I think my problem was bait. I didn't have time to catch any blue gill so I tried something new. (Brined finger mullet) I won't try that again. I don't think the fresh water cats like the salt...........don't know, maybe it was just a slow bite.

I did catch a good size snapping turtle (maybe 35 lbs) and about an 8 pound Bowfin on a couple of limb lines I set out though. (Both released but the turtle is still pissed....)

Nothing Saturday night either. Same bait as the night before so I won't bother trying that again.

I came across some limbliners in the morning that were packing up from a camp they made on a sandbar. There was a huge gut pile floating down river from them that looked like it came from a VERY large fish so they must have gotten something nice.
