Keokuk Iowa The Chiefs football division 3A team has won the State Championship 42-7. They played against a Sioux City Iowa team, Bishop Heelan. This is the first time our team has ever made it this far. Congrats to the boys, and the coaches. I just couldn't help but pass on the good news. Later Andy

I think I'm about as proud of the Keokuk Chiefs as the people from Keokuk are. They were a very special group of young men. They were willing to put in the hard work to achieve such a prestigious goal. They have done something that they will remember for the rest of their lives. I thought they were as good a high school team as I had ever seen around here. They had it all,an outstanding offense and a defense that just kept getting better as the season went on. Keokuk and all of Southeast Iowa should be very proud of the " 2007 KEOKUK CHIEFS-IOWA CLASS 3A STATE FOOTBALL CHAMPIONS"!!!!!!!!!!!
