Original post made by Keith Sword(Fwmud) on April 12, 2005 Someone asked me to post this. It was taught to me by John Davidson and it's the easiest way I've found so far. Third cast and I was throwing near perfect. I was being taught standing in 3 feet of water. Here goes; All instrutions are for right handed people. 1) Cinch rope to hand or boat cleat and coil lead line in large coils in left hand. All steps for left hand are "stacked" on top of each other as you proceed. 2)grab net below ring and place in left hand on top of coiled rope. 3)Reach down and grab net with right hand. 4)bring right hand full of net up to left hand and coil into left hand. 5)Reach down and drape a flat section of weights on top of left shoulder. 6)Place right hand on right chest and "walk" fingers down the net, grabbing weights as you go,keeping them in order as you grab them. 7) Rotate upper body to the left away from Target water, and toss, not throw, at a slight upward angle, releasing the net as you square up with water. The biggest thing is don't try to throw the net into the next county, just toss it.
