Well let me start at the begining,I am a retired KITCHEN&BATH DESIGNER a
job i had for many years and really enjoyed, sold 150 to 200 kitchens a year
which required me to be on the road to meet with builders, then the customer.
after coming up with a design that pleased them,i would have them come
in to look at displays of the different type of woods that were offered, and
they would most of the time bring there husband,i could look at him and tell
he would rather be fishing or playing golf, when she would ask what do you
think, his repley would be whatever you want HUNNY.well after many hours
on the road and many hours in front of the computer,i got to thinking im
going to be 62 that year and thought i have had enough, gave 2 week notice
to my boss who was one of the finest peolple i had ever worked for,2 weeks
came up i truned in the company truck and phone and pager,he handed me
5000.00 in cash i thanked him and left.Well now let me tell you how i keep
    track of time since retirement
1.SOCIAL SECURTY CHECK GETS TO THE BANK ON THE 2ND WENSDAY OF
    THE MONTH.
2.THE WIFES SOCIAL SECURTY GETS TO THE BANK ON THE 3RD WENSDAY.
3.MY PENSION CHECK COMES IN ON THE 1ST OF THE MONTH.
4.HER DISABILATY CHECK ARRIVES ON ABOUT THE 15TH.
5.THE TRASH TRUCK COMES ON TUESDAY AND THURSDAY.
6.TO DOUBLE CHECK TO SEE WHAT DAY IT IS I KEEP A TIDE CHART THAT
I MARK THRU EACH DAY,IF WE FISH I MARK DOWN HOW MANY WERE
    CAUGHT,OR NOT.
the only important thing i have to remember is i am fishing with stumpbumper
    on the 7th of november.
now some folks may think im in a rut,but i call it GREAT.

Congrats. That's the way to keep track of time, by the day, not the hour or minute. Nice to not have go worry about where you have to be and who you have to see. Enjoy it!!

I think you have a good system. The only day I worry about is the day my fishing partner is coming!! ;) ;)

I was at a crappiethon tournament several years ago. I was pre-fishing for the tournament and was haveing lunch a the local marina resturant. There was a old boy and his wife in there and he asked me about the tournament. I said I was there fishing and had a weeks vacation. He says ya, I get 2 vacations a year and they are both 6 months each! ;)

I've had the same job since 1989-we are closed Mondays, thats my day off.About 5 times a year we will be open on Monday.Man,that screws me up for the rest of the week.Have to look at the calendar to see what day it is.

The trash pick up crew here hates my garbage cans from early spring through late fall. Actually though...they think it's my neighbor...Lol. He had a bait shop...but it closed down. Well, he still has his dumpster with a lid. He told me we could use his dumpster for my fish guts since the lid will keep the cats out of it until the garbage crew comes on tue and thur. Some days it's best to hold your breath when you drive past that dumpster...especially on days over 100 degrees. Going an extra day or two due to a holiday can get pretty smelly under the right circumstances.

I just ask the "war dept", er...wife, what day it is. Trash pick-up is Monday, Trap shooting day is Sunday(afternoon), other than that I dont really care. I never see my retirement checks or write a check--the "war dept", er...wife takes care of all that stuff and gives me a buck or two when I go fishing. my hardest decisions nowdays are rooted around an answer to the question--"Honey what do you want for supper"?

My trash crew likes me better now cause, I freeze all my fish guts and put them out the morning of pick up. This also keeps the cats away...
