I have Nightcrawlers and Red wigglers in and old cooler.

I covered the drain w/ fine mesh and a rubber band and set it on a slight incline so it would drain . It is under a large tree so it is never in the sun to keep it cooler.I put a layer of san in the bottom for drainaige the soil then about 6 inches of leaf litter from the woods that I got when I found my worms.

When I put them in there about a month or so ago they were about 2 to 3 inches long, now they are 5 to 6 inches. I feed them about every other day, coffee grounds, lettuce leaves, any part of fruit or vege from the kitchen. Do not feed them any meat or onions. Keep the soil moist but not wet.

When I get ready to go fishing I take a smaill hand rake and scratch the top of the leaves and they JUMP to the surface!!I guess they want to go fishing too.

I have also put the leftovers from the worms I have bought from Wal-Mart in there to keep them for next time, they do better in there than in the fridge.
