Kansas River

    im going fishing this weekend on the kansas and i found this spot from above the river, a channel branches off fron the river, is this gonna be an ideal spot for the biguns? what do i need to look for in this channel?

    Your task is to find the first deep hole above the spot that the tributary
    stream joins the main river. This would be an ideal spot for a huge fish to
    have a spot to rest up with little or no current to contend with. Now we
    get more specific. Find a really big snag, an undercut bank or a current
    break of some other kind in this hole. That slack water will hold as many
    big catfish as can fit in that space. A shallow sandbar near that will be
    where those fish will feed at night. Tether a few baitfish there and wait
    for the dinner bell to ring. Probably around 4AM.

    you might be missing the boat fishing deep holes this early, by all accounts fish on my area of the kaw are still running shallow and are just now starting to postion them selves near the runs of the the holes i wouldnt spend alot of time real deep right now 4-6 feet of water is still produceing big fish in my area
