Parking by Peterbuilt is the way to go. On the other side you end up playing cat and mouse with the railroad security, and you are trespassing on that side. I know of people who have done it, but word is that if you park on the road up there you can expect someone to come down looking for you.

The only place to park is out on the road next to Woodend, between the 435 bridge and Peterbuilt. You are a long ways from your car, but I've fished there a lot and never had a problem.

Jim, Camping around there is pretty much non existent. I've seen people camp in tents down by the river, but it's a pretty good walk even without camping gear. A better option might be to meet at Kaw Point (confluence of Missouri and Kansas Rivers) and sleep on the boat anchored on thev river or off a sandbar. I would put you up for a night or two in my house as another option, I'm about 15 miles from the river.

I dont know about 10,000 dollars Jeff, but definitely kicked outta there. They wont catch me though. Just dont park on the side of the road, dont use a lantern or make a fire, use headlights only when you need them, and they wont know your down there. Park up that street a ways by the Grinter House. Same goes for Holiday Dr.
Sure, you can hide for awhile, but wait until the railroad cops come through with their heat seeking helicopter
