A new year is upon us, and to keep conversation going, what are your fishing goals for 2009.

Really my only goals are to fish. In 2008 I got a little more into tournaments than I really planned, for 2009 I want to focus more on just plain fishing. I’m still just a novice fishing from the boat, there is still plenty to learn. A couple of big blues would be nice though :0a1:

Since I can only plan action (not results) they are as follows:
1 Fish more (it won't take much to beat 2008)

2.Fish the Kaw (I have a boat for it now).

3.Get better with tiller steering. I'm used to big-stable tri-hulls with steering wheels. I probably look like a gorilla on a skate-board, in that Crappie Pro.

Get out and fish more. Have the wife catch one over ten pounds. Try to convince the powers that be on here that nw Ks. does not have the plague or cooties and we do have some big cats here too. So they could put together a gathering that I could actually afford to go to, and have the time to do it.
It would be nice to to convince my brother and his friend that 15 foot rods are not necessary for fish that don't weigh over 30 lbs Imagine a 15' rod on the bank of a ten acre lake and you'll know what I mean.

i fish constantly so i guess mine would be
    1. to just beat my PB on flattys & channels and actually catch a blue.

    2. get Leeland tied into a 10+ lb. cat

    3. get J Jr. tied into a 4-5 lb. cat

maybe i can get em hooked onto one that weighs 1 lb. for every year they are old.
