Really weird landscape at this location. Haha!
Carp should have the feed bags on right now. I will be out again this weekend.

I may give a spot a try this weekend that I have been looking at for a while. Might have to get some more strawberry jello. As it was setting in the kitchen cabinet, it seems to have disappeared.

Those are some really NICE FISH!! You sure have a great spot, good job. I spend too much time in my boat in stead of doing what you are doing, I use to when I lived in KC and fished Smithville and I had a spot nothing like yours but sure caught a lot of them.

Jack brings in some beautiful fish. And he takes great care of them. Love the pictures.

Colder weather moving in. Might not get many more outings. Going to give it a shot today. Here are a few from the last couple sessions.

After seeing so many, I think Jack just has to whistle and they come running.

Well, I had not carp fished since early spring. Sorta got hung up doing nothing but catfishing. I will try to do better next year. Water temp 46 degrees, no wind 5 pm after a sunny day.

Just like Jack's, only smaller. :eek1:

    Net 21 inches wide.

Well, I got tired of setting in the recliner and the temp was going to be 45 and sunny. Only bad part was the 15 mph wind. But I wanted to try a new spot and the temps are headed into the thirties for a while. Only caught one but it was a nice Black Buffalo if I have it ID'd right.

The color was more silver than the common carp and the solid black eye was always looking at you.

I didn't weigh this fish but coming from a river with good current it was the strongest fighter I have had. Although it was momentarily on some cold rocks, it was in good condition when released and took off eagerly, ready for another fight.

That is the finest eating fish in the carp or any fish catagory, one of the best.

Showme, I had heard that but since I was not hungry at the time I figured I would save him (CPR'd) for later.

I heard that! I have NEVER caught a buffalo period, have caught hundreds of regular carp, but at least I have got to eat buffalo 5 or 6 times, they make ribs with them, and fry em up along with the filets, really white meat and very tastey

Awesome! My rods are put up for the season. Time for winter restocking, organizing, and buying more stuff I don't need. Haha! Why can't there just be three seasons???

Hi Jack, good to hear from you. I figured you had hung the rod up for a couple months. I am going to Knoxville, TN between Christmas and New Years and want to wet a line for carp there if I can find a decent place to try.

Let us know when you are out of hibernation. With some Spring pictures.
