anyone fish the kanawha river around the downtown charleston area and if so any tips on good spots?
i know a few near st albans..and 1 spot near institute...
I only know the river below the Winfield Dam.
below the dam is some nice fishing...
ive heard magic island is good but never tried it and i see people over by uc all the time on that point that comes out and there is the mouth of davis creek in south charleston by bob evans
Ok now that sandbar is my hole.I grew up on South Ruffner Road and have fished that spot more than any one with the excpetions of a few friends.
Verizon Boat Launch is good as is the Levee and up near Daniel Boone Park and the mouth of the Elk can be a great place at times.
I know alot of spots on the Kanawha River and the Coal River
F St in South Charleston is a good spot but watch your back is some bad people around there. the Barge on the McMorkle Ave on 60 side oF the River. Barge at SC and Dubar Bridge on Dunbar Side. Al yeah Rush Creek at Marmet. If I think of more Ill post. Hope this helps
