I just was wondering if anybody here has caught cats during the winter (natural bait season) using homemade/stink baits? I prefer natural baits year round but if I make up and want to try a homemade bait this winter I don't know what to expect from the cats. Any luck with this type of fishing?

I catch cats with dough bait all through out the year.

Locaton,Location,Location is very important. If you are knot fishing in the right location knothing will catch fish. I had to learn the hard way. Since I have been paying close attention to location I can catch cats on just about any bait you put in the water. So yes you can catch cats in the winter with stink baits. Good luck and catch the big one.
