Scroll to the top and follow the pics down. They're a little out of order, but you'll get the idea.

That VAB can fit the Statue of Liberty inside with over 230' of room to spare above it. With the right weather conditions, it's been known to snow in there.

No they weren't launching that day, but the day before I was on Cocoa Beach swinging my detector at about 2:10 in the afternoon and an airforce rocket was launched from the airfoce side of the complex.

No camera with me, but it would've made a beautiful picture. Not a cloud in the sky except for the rocket vapors and the rumble. Made me homesick.

I used to do alot of construction work out there. Now my son's a foreman on an iron working team that's repairing the VAB from the hurricane damage.

It really irritates me when I get a call from him and he tells me he's about 400' up on the side of that building.

Yeah I stopped in Monday night. Betty's as sweet as ever and Paul's having a time with all the wild ferocious critters in his new place. Pigs, Possum's and for Betty they've got "Rocky the flying squirrel"

I might go back next weekend for a log cutting event. I plan on parking way down the road. I'm thinking somebody might drop a log the wrong way and get their home owners insurance cancelled:big_smile:
