I just bought an abu garcia "record" Model 60...It is the same size as a standard 6500 but has 6 bearings and a neat power handle..Anyone else have one of these reels?
Way to go Jack! That looks to be a real beauty! :cool2: I have recently bought several of the Abu 7000 ICS Pro Rocket Reels and I will be very interested in seeing how you like your new reel!
I bought two of them not long after they came out. You won't be disappointed thats for sure. They are smooth and they do cast, I've burnt my thumb casting these reels. They also have a nice drag on them, biggest fish on one of them so far is a 31 pound flat.
Hi Jack,Your Gona LOVE That Reel!!! I ran across one in the bargan cave at Cabelas last fall for $89.00 dollars,Coulden't Believe it.I could hardly get the Money out of My wallet fast enough. It diden,t have a box but I did get the scatimatics.Who needs the Box Right.Anyway Congratulations on a New Killer Reel,Now go catch that Hog.J.D.
Very nice. I have the 6500 and 7000 Pro Rockets and they are great casting reels but I would like to know if the Records are better. I am a bank fisherman and need the distance. Nice reel and good luck.
That does look mighty nice. I need to quit buying stuff though. Last night, while enjoying a few too many beers, I bought a 10 foot Ocean Master. I better not drink tonight or I'll end up with that Abu Record for the pole!
I think you are going to love that reel! I have several 6500's and some 6000's and like them, and that reel has some features that I REALLY like!
Congratulations on the Record. I have one and it is a very nice casting reel. Interesting that reel has the sensi braking system and from what I understand there is way to further enhance the distance.
Yep ,,picked up a pair of them when Bull Frog Creek tackle was having a going out of business sale.. Great Reels you will not be dissatisfied thats for sure..
