Here is the story and then a link to the original.

Just because it's officially buck season doesn't mean deer will be cooperative after taking a few bullets.

A Missouri hunter found that out recently when a seemingly dead 9-point, 240-pound buck arose and attacked him. Randy Goodman, 49, believed two shots from his .270-caliber rifle had killed the animal, but when he approached, the deer sprang up and greeted him with an antler onslaught the hunter later referred to as "15 seconds of hell."

The deer then attempted to escape, but Goodman put it down with two more shots. Minutes later, Goodman noticed he was bleeding and drove to a local hospital.

He was treated for a concussion and bruises and received seven staples in his head. We hope they also gave him a new pair of drawers.

Goes to show you, always approach your hunted animal from the backside with caution! Check the eyes, if there open, the animal is DEAD!! Kinda like the deer in my Avatar. See, his eyes are open!!

I knew there were a bunch of Idiots LONG before that story!!!
A town I hunt in sometimes had deer in the park just outside of town. They were thinking of shutting the park and allowing hunting and people got VERY VERY upset about it so it was dropped. The next year there was an 80+ yo woman killed when she walked in between a buck and some does and there were several others injured. There were 2 times the auto accidents in the town of 4500 people than there was in the rest of the county and the people living in town could not keep lawn, or flowers and there were MANY reported attacks on pets by deer. The next year the same people who were crying for the deer were in the town hall demanding something be done to remove all of the deer and they suggested using a poison!!!!!! From not hunting them one year to poison them the next!!!!

That is how people are!! They want there way. Even if it means going from free Pest control to creating a public nuisance of deer that can't be eaten falling dead in their yard and roads and then having to dispose of them. GO figure. They just are not real smart sometimes.
Sounds like the town was full of P.E.T.A. supporter. This is the way they think
